We are participating in Spring Open Studios over the weekend of April 16-17. We will demonstrate how to make paper the old-fashioned way! This event is free and open to the public; many other Mission artists will have their doors open, too.
You’ll also be able to make your own sheet of paper using recycled cotton pulp in a vat using a mold and deckle. If you’d like to bring your own inclusions (pressed flowers, leaves or other relatively flat/small objects), feel free to do so.
We are also looking for volunteers to help during Open Studios weekend — if interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, April 13. You’ll learn the full process of papermaking, from start to finish!
Here’s our Mission Artists United profile for more info on the event. Hope to see you soon!
