• Managing channels and levels in Photoshop
• Color separations
• Inkjet film positive output

Preparing Paper

• Hand-tearing parent sheets into press sheets
• Wet packing techniques

Preparing Your Plate

• ImagOn for copper plates
• Exposing the plates using ink jet film positive
• Soda wash and blow dry

Ink & Inking Your Plate

• Materials: non-toxic, water-based Akua inks, small squeegee, newsprint, tarletan
• Use squeegee to pick up ink and evenly distribute across plate surface
• Wipe excess ink off with tarletan in circular motion, then rub lightly with newsprint

Etching Press Fundamentals

• Setting blankets and roller height
• Registration
• Running the inked plate through the press
